A complaint was received about the Treasury's decision to refuse a request for information about probable inflationary effects of personal tax cuts. The Treasury refused this request on the basis that the information would soon be publicly available as part of the annual proactive release of Budget information. The Ombudsman found that Treasury was entitled to refuse this request.
