Tuia kia ōrite and Keeping Things Fair are teaching resources to support civics learning for ākonga (students) ranging from years 1 to 10.
These resources, developed in conjunction with teachers, rangatahi, education specialists and the Ministry of Education, are aligned to social sciences and tikanga ā-iwi in the New Zealand National Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
The purpose of these resources is to assist teachers and kaiako to support tamariki and young people to understand and know their rights, learn how to participate in society, and to learn about the Ombudsman.
