Te Puna Mātauranga – the Ombudsman’s online learning platform
Te Puna Mātauranga is the Ombudsman’s free online learning platform for people in the public sector.
The service provides learning for all those in the public sector who need to understand the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), and managing Unreasonable Complainant Conduct (UCC).
Courses available
- The OIA for Ministers and agencies
- This learning provides an overview of the OIA – legislation which allows people to request official information held by Ministers and central government agencies.
- The LGOIMA for local government agencies
- This learning provides an overview of the LGOIMA – legislation which allows people to request official information held by local government agencies and includes provisions governing the conduct of meetings.
- Managing Unreasonable Complainant Conduct
- This learning provides your agency with guiding principles in managing UCC and strategies and guidance to help you consistently and effectively handle UCC.
Sharing access to our courses
