Publication of Ombudsman’s investigation reports into LGOIMA compliance and practice at councils and council-controlled organisations
The Chief Ombudsman has published a number of final opinions resulting from a self-initiated investigation announced in September last year into the LGOIMA practices of several councils and council-controlled organisations.
The investigations were part of a regular programme of work looking at Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) compliance and practice in local authorities.
