Publication of Ombudsman’s investigation report into LGOIMA compliance and practice at Wellington Water

The Chief Ombudsman has published a final opinion on Wellington Water following a self-initiated investigation announced in September last year into the LGOIMA practices of several councils and council-controlled organisations. 

The investigations were part of a regular programme of work looking at Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) compliance and practice in local authorities.
